If ever asked, what one person has influenced how I live my life today...

She was a beautiful woman, with a smile that could melt the coldest of hearts. Twinkling eyes, that you could see through and know that at all times...she was thinking of her next sly comment. A heart as loving as God's above...my Grandmother, Ettie Hazel McWhorter.

Born on December 27, 1926 to Grettie and Louis Hughes. She married my grandfather, Samuel McWhorter and raised three sons, Samuel, Michael (my daddy), and Mark.

I have to say that my grandmother helped me become the person I am today. From the time I was a child to the day she passed on, she taught me that I could do whatever I wanted as long as I believed in myself. I loved her more than life itself, and miss her more than anyone could comprehend.  Thanks Grandma! I can't wait to see you again!
